東京デザイナーズブロック2003における、And Aでのインスタレーション。
シリコンチューブに線状ELを封入した紐のような照明を、約200本吊り下げてエントランスの空間を埋め尽くした。線状ELは各々決められた高さに設置されることによって、外部からは波状の光の固まりが浮遊しているように見える。
ショップに入ろうとする人々は、その儚い光の固まりを押し退けながら歩くこととなり、そのことによって光はまた線となって揺れ動く。
これは、人の動きにインタラクトする光のデザインであると共に、身体の動きが周囲に及ぼす影響を視覚化する試みでもある。

The project was an installation for Tokyo Designer's block 2003 at the shop AND A.
About two hundred lights made up of a cord of linear electroluminescent lights inside a silicone tube were suspended, completely filling the entrance space. As the linear electroluminescent lights were positioned at specific heights, when seen from the exterior, the clusters of undulating light appear to be floating in the space. The people who enter the shop push their way through the ephemeral lights and in doing so the lights appear as linear elements again as they sway.
While making this a lighting design that interacts with people's movements, we also wanted to experiment in visualizing the influence that the body's movement has on the space around it.
